Welcome to the May instalment of Zips It Up, and whilst I’m sat in my Balearic ‘office’, things are hotting up outside here in the Med.
May is a beautiful month to go Balearic. It’s still ‘quietish’ tourist-wise, the temperature is not too hot (yet still summer-like) but you can still sleep at night without air-con. And the mozzies haven’t buzzed into town just yet.
If you’re contemplating changing your footwear to accommodate the weather, check out Chanel’s new ‘Barefoot Sandals’, which are basically the ankle strap only. Absolutely nothing else, so you are literally walking ‘barefoot’. And they are rumoured to cost a whopping £1000, although it’s currently hard to verify the exact price online.
And as we enter wedding season, how about upstaging the bride in this little number? This is the Balenciaga ‘Cardboard’ dress which comes in at around £8,000. You’re sure to turn heads in the chapel wearing one. You can even write the hymn lyrics on it, if you fancy personalising things.
