The campaign Pure Sea has been campaigning to protect our oceans and marine life from further plastic pollution. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, the increase in single use plastic waste has increased greatly because of PPE. Pure Sea is dedicated to funding research teams tasked with providing cleaner environments, rehabilitation and critical care of the wildlife affected. They also need funding to expand and continue with vital beach clean-up logistics and equipment.
Throughout the pandemic, Pure Sea has continued to clean the beaches and rivers of the UK, with an army of volunteers. Sadly, they lost 14 events and school talks due to Covid-based cancellations, but they are pursuing the cause with lots of new ideas for 2021
