A good friend of mine, Jenny Lilley has just had a very ‘proud mother’ moment, watching her 16 year-old son make his debut on the catwalks of London Fashion Week. He was modelling menswear by Made By Mensa, streetwear with a difference for young chaps and older guys.

Thomas Aprinois a fresh new face in the fashion world, following in the footsteps of millennial male models such as Jude Law’s son Rafferty Lawand Dylan Brosnan, son of Piers.

Made By Mensawas formed by Brian Breinholt-Nielsen, who has a passion for design and style. The brand is UK based and all pieces are handmade.

“We only make a limited number of each piece as we do not wish to mass produce, to make you feel special when wearing our brand. All printed pieces are printed by hand one by one by our special printers, and all our embroidery pieces are stitched by hand, one by one”.

This September 2018, the label organised their own fashion show for LFW. It was not funded by investors or loans from any bank – just their own sheer hard work – and Thomas Aprinowas the star of the show.
