What To Wear To A Festival: Guys

1. Don’t wear anything you care about

That means don’t wear your best or most expensive clothing. You’re going to get muddy, drinks will be spilled and stuff is going to go missing – such is the reality of festivals. You’re there to have fun, not flex!

2. Always go with comfort first.

You’ll be outdoors for hours (hopefully in the sun), so you WANT TO BE COMFORTABLE. You don’t want to become miserable wearing something that looks good but gets increasingly restrictive as the day progresses.

BUT… this is your time to stand out with crazy bold clothing you wouldn’t wear day-to-day.

We’re talking crazy accessories, colorful shorts, flower printed tees – anything goes at festivals! I suggest double florals this summer. Floral shirt and matching shirts, á la Gucci inspo.

3. A Floaty Top or Tank Top

Floaty tops are perfect compromise between looking cool and feeling breezy. They look great on their own but really shine when accessorized with boho style necklaces, bracelets and rings. Go for lights colours and materials like linen, to keep cool.

Tank tops are very current, very nerdy, but top drawer when you want to be comfortable and have complete freedom of movement. Time to get in a few press ups boys!

4.  Bottoms

When it comes to the lower portion of your body, both shorts and cargo pants work just fine, but I highly recommend opting for a looser more flowy pair of pants that won’t be too restrictive. FORGET JEANS.

As for shorts, you can go a little crazy here. Jean shorts, or opt for the Hawaiian style printed variety with pockets for your phone and cards.

5. Shoes

To state the obvious, don’t wear your best shoes. Your shoes will get muddy, stepped on and scuffed, so opt for sneakers or slides.

Most importantly, you need footwear that you’re comfortable walking around in ALL DAY. Yeezys, Nike Airs or Jordans will work best, but for some people their feet get too hot walking around all day, so Yeezy slides are not only stylish and cool, they’re moulded to the shape of your foot which means COMFORT.

6. Accessories

This is where you can have the most fun when it comes to your festival outfit.

Add as much flare as you can to your outfit with some cheap accessories. Jump online with ASOS or BOOHOO MAN.

I like to speculate what Johnny Depp would wear in this situation and go from there.

Accessory suggestions:

  • Bandanas
  • Sunglasses
  • Watches
  • Bracelets
  • Sun hats
  • Necklaces
  • Rings

Have some fun with it and you can’t go wrong.
