The WHITE-IBIZA 2014 Fashion Awards

Ibiza style has long captivated global fashionistas and trendsetters. As you know, Zips It Up likes to keep you bang up to date with what’s happening on the White Isle. is my favourite web site for connecting with Ibiza events, fashion, food, music and lifestyle, making one feel equally plugged-in whether in Playa D’en Bossa or Preston Lancashire. You can take fashion guidance, inspiration and shop the look for every beach, bar and pool party on the island.

White Ibiza has just published its readers’ choice ‘Best of Ibiza Awards 2014‘. As we’ve now kissed goodbye to the summer season, I thought we’d take a peek at some of the FASHION winners to get some ideas for next year’s holiday wardrobe.

Winner of the Best Fashion Designer/Brand is COCO SAFARI. Sassy, sexy and seriously stylish, Coco Safari is a luxe new swimwear brand created by Mexican designer Mauricio Gonzalez. It’s a celebration of  vivid colours, wild prints and sparkling embellishments. I adore the Baby blush Swimsuit (above) which I have bought to wear next summer at (my local) Cala Gracio Beach after a long leisurely tapas and sangria con cava lunch at El Chiringuito de Cala Gracioneta.  Oh, roll on summer 2015…

The Runner up 2014 was VICTORIA IBIZA. Victoria Durrer Gasse doesn’t label herself a fashion designer, rather (and more humbly) a global designer who takes traditional clothing and gives it a wearable, modern twist. I love her kaftans. They are the perfect cover up to a Coco Safari bikini.

Best Jewellery Designer 2014 was SARA DIVITA.  A true island girl at heart, Sicilian-born, Ibiza-based jewellery designer Sara Divita has been creating trinkets and sparkling treasures from a very early age, studying design at the prestigious Instituto Marangoni in Milan.

Today her unique style sees her traverse between delicate, feminine pieces and edgy, rock chick glamour, with evolving hand made gold and silver collections. Add a Coco Safari bikini and a Victoria Ibiza Kaftan to your beach ensemble at Benirras and stand out from the summer crowds in true Ibiza style. That’s my beachwear for next summer sorted.
