Paris Fashion Week

So, it’s all been happening in Paris, with PFW in full swing. And the absolute “who’s who” of the fashion world have attended all the shows.

But who wore what, and who drank what, etc? Which, in reality, is what we really care about, whilst occasionally paying attention to what’s happening on the catwalk.

At the YSL show, Kate Moss was on the FROW wearing a black tuxedo jacket with slicked back hair and dark berry lips. She sat next to Zoe Kravitz, who has all the swagger and style of her dad Lenny, wearing black lace. Gwynnie wore a black coat thrown over her shoulders with a grey suit – that’s how we wear coats now – NOT using the sleeves.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore a stunning satin dress with built in suspenders.

Bella Hadid wore a man’s suit and tie, like she’d just come from a board meeting. And the star of the show was 61 year old Phillippinne-Leyroy-Beaulieu, who plays Sylvie Grateau in Emily in Paris – wearing a completely sheer blue dress with nothing but black pants, a black belt and black sandals underneath. Which goes to show you’re never too old for fashion.

At the Victoria Beckham after-show party,  VB served champagne mixed with her new perfume to celebrate the fact that she is launching her new scent. Only Coco Chanel has ever done this before with her Chanel No.5. Yuck.

And over at the ever-edgy French Fashion house Vetements show, GiGi Hadid strutted the catwalk in a DHL logo bandage dress. She looked like a parcel being shipped to America – similar the Balenciaga dress Kim Kardashian bandage dress she wore a couple of years ago. Plus, a model wore a dress made up of The Sun newspaper headlines – mostly featuring Princess Di. Only Vetements would do this. Remember their DHL T-shirt from 2016? I bought one for my other half as a tongue in cheek gift, he wore it to a gig, and nobody got it AT ALL! The point is, Vetements fashion is inspired by regular people and everyday life. Simple-as really.
