Halloween Trainer Drop

This Halloween’s Men’s Sneaker Drops by Nike & adidas

Every October, Nike goes all-out with its Halloween sneakers, and the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 ‘Jason Voorhees’ is no exception. But while the big Swoosh usually takes the spooky theme quite literally, this year it’s dropping a release that you can actually wear during the other 11 months of the year. But who is Jason Voorhees, I hear you ask? He is the mass murderer character from the Friday the 13th series who wears the scary mask.

Nike Air Force 1 ‘Jason Voorhees’

From a distance, this Air Force 1 looks just like the classic ‘Triple White’ colourway. It’s decked out in the same all-white, all-leather build, it’s got the same Swoosh across the sides, it’s got the same Nike logos on the tongue tag and heel badge – and it sits on the same plush Air midsole.

But that’s where the similarities end, because when you squint to take a look at the toe area, you’ll see that the perforations have been rearranged to form a mask. But this isn’t any mask. Yes, this is the one that Jason Voorhees wears during the entire Friday the 13th franchise

It’s super simple and super wearable. And the trainers also come with a creepy little shoebox that’s inspired by Camp Crystal Lake, where Voorhees usually does all of his bad work.

If that’s not doing it for you guys, how about these?

The Lionel Messi x Bad Bunny x Adidas Gazelle Indoor is a true holy trinity sneaker

A few months ago, rumours of the Lionel Messi x Bad Bunny x Adidas Gazelle Indoor started spreading. The reports seemed legit enough. But still, sceptics remained. Why? Because it sounded just a little too random to be true.

Trainer collabs have always worked in mysterious ways. Remember Balenciaga x Crocs? Dior x Jordan Brand? Sometimes even the most unexpected collabs can become reality – and that’s exactly what’s happened with the Lionel Messi x Bad Bunny x Adidas Gazelle Indoor drop.

BTW – Bad Bunny is the Latino Spanish speaking singer/rapper – huge in north and south America.

Landing in a tan ‘Cardboard’ colour scheme, this sneaker is made from leather that’s apparently a lot more premium compared to “regular” Gazelles. The classic T-shaped toe has been warped slightly for an asymmetrical design, while the Three Stripe branding is stitched across the laterals in ‘Cream White.’

These exact stripes can also be found around the heel in a ‘X’ formation, and all of this rests on top of a see-through gum sole. Some lovely suede hits the ankle to make the shoe feel even more bougie, and it’s finished off with the kings’ signatures across the sidewalls in red. And while they could’ve just left it there, this sneaker then comes packed in a limited edition box that Messi and BB fans will love.

Messi has been an ambassador for the German sportswear company since ’06.  Bad Bunny started working with the brand four years ago. Since then, both guys have dropped a bunch of their own kicks, with the Argentine GOAT focusing mainly on the SAMBA and the Puerto Rican rapper taking on a bunch of old school silhouettes such as the Forum Low and the Response CL.

Which do you prefer?
