Gold Fever Hair Luxury Hair Extensions at Wills & Parker
So, right now, I’m loving life. Summer’s here, the diary is packed and my hair is on point. Thanks to one very special person – Tracy Roach – Hair Extension Guru and genius.
I’ve known Tracy for a while and she promised me a long time ago that her company, ‘Gold Fever Extensions by Thomas Gold’, would create my dream long locks. All that was needed was a trip to her salon in Harrogate. And then Covid happened.
But last month, we finally organised getting together and I booked my train from Kings Cross to Harrogate. I allowed a day and had a lovely relaxed journey up to North Yorkshire – I wouldn’t recommend driving unless you live in Leeds. The salon is close to the station and as soon as I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms by the team, with a delicious cappuccino in hand.
I hadn’t physically met Tracy before, only sending her pictures of my own hair and she had expertly matched my colour, texture and wave perfectly. It was all waiting when I arrived.

Tracy was super quick, precise and before I knew it, I had the dreamy long blonde mermaid hair I had been fantasizing about for the past few years.
I only had the extensions fitted at the back and sides, so they were cleverly hidden and so natural looking.
The bonds are tiny, but strong and easy to brush through. Tracy blended them in with my own hair so brilliantly that I genuinely looked like I had been growing my own hair for years.
I had it trimmed slightly to look more natural though, and for management. My own hair is thick, so it’s a large amount of hair to deal with.
The upkeep is easy – using most shampoos and conditioners is safe and all you really need to do is blow dry the bonds to keep it all secure and comfortable.
It’s true to say that once you start, you might not stop and I’m already planning on having them refreshed after the summer.
Regular readers will know, I spend a lot of time in the Balearics, so having long boho hair really fits in with the Mediterranean experience. I’m totally enamoured with my summer hair and friends and family love it too.
As long as you look after the extensions, your own hair grows perfectly well underneath and Tracy can help create a thicker head of hair for anyone with thinner hair or with hair which simply doesn’t seem to grow. Which when you reach your 40s, can sometimes be the case.

Prices start at £250. The extensions come with a full warranty and my hair was 22 inches – colour 67/09 (as she matched my natural and highlighted own hair). Thoroughly recommend this whole experience if you want to look and feel fabulous.
