… a word from Amanda featuring Cambridge Clothing and the Pure Sea Party

Welcome to this week’s instalment of Amanda Zips It Up.

Having returned from a brief jaunt down to the Balearics, I returned to London on International Women’s Day. Every 8th March, we celebrate women of all walks of life across the globe. Obviously, this being a fashion blog, I have chosen a few of fashion’s most powerful women to feature this week.

And on the subject of powerful women, Mother’s Day is just a fortnight away. Also in this instalment, I have compiled a list of gifts guaranteed to show the matriarch in your life just how much you care and appreciate them.

Having gorged myself stupid over the weekend, it’s time to hit the gym and I’ll definitely be wearing this cool Cambridge sweatshirt, sent to me by the Cambridge Clothing company, who have a stylish range of athleisure wear, influenced by the designer’s love of Cambridge.

After living in Cambridgeshire for a number of years, Cambridge Clothing’s owners became obsessed with this historic City. The university, the historic buildings and Museums, the green spaces and fields surrounding the City, the bikes, and of course the punting!  However, there wasn’t a ‘brand’ out there reflecting their love and support of the city, so Cambridge Clothing Co. was formed. Their aim is to be a straight forward, Eco friendly, clothing and apparel brand that appeals to students and teachers (and the non-academic) alike.

In other news, I will be attending this important fundraising event for a very worthwhile cause – Pure Sea – to support my friend Lisa Good.

Pure Sea Official Launch Party

Saturday 2nd April 2022 from 7pm.

55 – 61 Tabernacle St.

Shoreditch, London EC2A 4AA

Lisa is the brains behind the project. She is passionate about protecting marine life, raising awareness and creating positive changes to prevent further plastic pollution from entering the ocean.

Lisa currently has a large, dedicated group of supporters and Volunteer Beach Officers located all around the UK, Scotland (and Ibiza) who are regularly taking part in beach and river clean ups.

Lisa is consistently running regular public campaigns, festivals, auctions and music events to provide funding for marine research centres, and similar organisations dedicated to rescuing marine life damaged by plastic pollution and over-fishing.

This event will be hosted by DJ Brandon Block at a champagne reception plus Q & A session followed by DJs on the night including Daniele Davoli, Andrew Galea and Tom Grimes amongst other.

Pure Sea is a non-profit organisation, dedicated to protecting and replenishing the future of our oceans.

Tickets are £25 from www.partyace.com and go to Pure Sea
