In the “5 Gift Rule”, the first four gift categories are the easier to implement: something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read. But the 5th? The 5th is the real winner, but also far more challenging. Something that they need or want, but don’t really know that they need or want. So, to help you navigate rule 5, I continue with another instalment of my Xmas gift guide 2022, revealing which ultimate gift everyone will benefit from – and it isn’t glamorous.
As we enter Xmas party season, we’ll be checking out what to wear and (perhaps more importantly) what not to wear over the coming weeks. This season is usually all about the little black dress, but in 2022 – Brown is the new Black.

And the change of colour focus is no surprise, as this year varying intensities of the autumnal hue came rushing down the runways of high-end designers such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Fendi.
I’ve always loved brown – it suits everyone. It’s the soft shade often associated with approachability, authenticity, warmth and safety. It is trending across all fashion categories and has recently been spotted on a number of stylish celebs. So get down to Zara for that brown satin slip dress for the office Xmas party ASAP.
Accessorise with plenty of gold bling and sexy red heels and clutch.
