Welcome back to Amanda Zips It Up following a little bout of Covid.
So, following the last 18 months of chaos – especially on the White Isle – the Ibiza Fashion Festival took place on 15th September in Cala Vadella at Kazamor Ibiza. I want to congratulate my friend and organiser Karen Windle for creating an amazing show.
10 international and local designers participated with luxury sustainable resort wear and swimwear for the runway. And what an event it was – all under electric Balearic skies.
All fabrics were sustainably sourced with reused ethically found or recycled plastic waste and Deva models provided a generous donation of models for the runway.
All backstage team members were from Ibiza providing work and exposure for local talent, who were in turn supported by the wonderful Nicky Clarke as sponsor.

They raised funds for Plastic free Ibiza, which supported the organisation with a beach clean-up operation in Cala Vadella on World Clean Up Day.
Ibiza Fashion Festival received a 4 star certificate for being a plastic free event – the first of its kind in Ibiza.
Can’t wait to see them in 2022!
Also, I HAVE to thoroughly recommend some very classy Gin and Whisky to you this week, if that’s your thing. Especially with Winter creeping in. I want to thanks my friend Emily Westley for introducing me to the company.
I was send a beautiful goodie box by the very awesome RAER – craft Gin and Whisky co – all the way from beautiful Scotland. The bottles alone are stunning and this would be a very impressive gift for anyone this Christmas. I also have a very cool hat and tee for the gym too.
